I took this picture in the autumn of 2012 while we were driving on the 401 near Chatham Ontario (Canada.) There were hundreds if not thousands of crows gathered in the field. I’d never seen so many crows in one place at one time.

Instagram's big fail

Since Instagram has been bought by Facebook they’ve made some decisions that made it hard for me to continue liking the service and using the service. First they decided to discourage users from sharing pictures on Twitter (which I also use). Today it was in the news that they had changed their Terms of Service and were going to be using user content in ads without bothering to ask permission, and without giving credit where credit was due.

They’ve since backtracked on the ad thing but I don’t trust they won’t try to do it anyway with some other sneakier wording in a new Terms of Service.

So I’ve deleted my Instagram account.

I’ll just have to share my pictures other ways — like posting them directly on here, or using other picture apps on my iPad to share them. I’m going to try out the app Snapseed as it looks promising.
